When danger threatens, it doesn't back down. The domestic goose is considered one of the best 'watchdogs' in history – loud, loyal, and fearless. Its nature embodies the courage to protect one's own without aggression – only with poise.

The story behind this work begins on our old family farm. The children originally wanted baby chicks – a small introduction to the world of their own animals. The young farmhand, barely nineteen, simply said: "A proper farm needs geese." And he was right. You never keep geese alone. So, we got two. Two animals that were more vigilant than any dog and, at the same time, possessed a tenderness you wouldn't expect from them.

These two geese were part of our family for many years – and it was precisely from this memory that the artwork was born. The process was surprisingly demanding: I tried countless positions, sofas, and materials until this country fabric, this calming color, and this exact posture of the animals worked. What looks simple was actually a very complex set. But that's exactly how they were meant to appear: natural, present, familiar. A silent greeting from a time that still resonates today.
